Very Good

Age of Civilizations II is a grand strategy game. After 2 years of development, you can finally play the cheaper version of Paradox's games that are getting franchise milked for their DLC policy. Your objective is to use military tactics and cunning diplomacy to either unify the world, or conquer it. You control a nation within a scenario. You have full control over its economy, technology, diplomatic relations and military. It takes a while to get fluent with the controls, but when you do, it is really fun to play. You can go to war and take over the world. The difficulty is similar to EU4 with a similar start for the base game (1440). There are other scenarios to play, but the format of the game stays the same. You have to manage your money most of all and know who you are fighting. Losing one battle can lose you the war, especially in Europe or Japan. Once you play a first game and get destroyed, you learn and play a second game, where you don't attack everyone. I recommend this game to everyone that want a Grand Strategy game experience without wasting 200 bucks on Parodox games, if you're one of those, go for it, you'll be surprised on how this game can be great with it's simplicity.
