FAR: Lone Sails Review

8.2 Total Score
Very Good

Far: Lone Sails is the kind of game that sticks with you after seeing credits. A post-apocalyptic steampunk sailing puzzle-platform simulation adventure. Bet you never thought you’d be playing one of those, or for it to look quite so lovely. It is a transfixing, lovely experience, one that takes recurring indie game tropes and does something unique and fun with them. It's short enough that you could play through it in a single two or three-hour session, but it will likely stick with you for a long time. It delivers a fascinating mystery in a strange land with engaging puzzles, and couples that with a relationship between the player and their oversized mode of transportation. The gameplay consists of your movement keys, and an interact button. You can also zoom in and out to see the environment, so it's quite simplistic. The beautiful music and scenery really amp up the atmosphere in a unique and positive way. Recommended!
